Ron Howard (68)
HOLLYWOOD DIRECTOR
Ronny Howard was 5 years old in 1960 when he was cast to play Opie on The Andy Griffith Show, becoming America’s favorite kid, walking next to dad Andy with a fishing pole slung over his shoulder. As a young adult, a role in the film American Graffiti led to a starring role as Richie Cunningham in the ABC sitcom Happy Days.
Ron found even greater success as a director, with 26 films to his credit including Splash (1984), Parenthood (1989), Apollo 13 (1995) and A Beautiful Mind (2001). He’s currently directing his latest project Thirteen Lives, about the 2018 cave rescue in Thailand.
