Lennon's angry letter for auction
An angry letter from John Lennon to Paul Mccartney is up for auction. Lennon wrote the letter in November 1971, days after Mccartney criticized Lennon and The Beatles in an interview with the music magazine Melody Maker. The typewritten letter is expected to fetch at least US$30,000 at the Gotta Have Rock and Roll auction. In it, Lennon tells Mccartney he's ungrateful for the money he receives from The Beatles and accuses him of threatening bandmate Ringo Starr and his wife Maureen.
