Debbie Harry (76)

PLATINUM BLONDIE

She was the face and voice of Blondie, the late ’70s punk-rock band. She has performed with Blondie and on her own pretty well since, with hits charting from 1979 to 2017. Debbie Harry has also made forays into film (Union City, 1980; Hairspray, 1988), released a memoir in 2019, and made philanthropy a top priority, supporting (among others) charities fighting cancer and endometriosis.

Blondie’s 11th studio album Pollinator, released in 2017, debuted at No. 4 in the U.K. “I thought I’d live to a ripe old age, because I always felt there was a lot to do,” Debbie says. “I had a driven feeling. I always thought in the present.”
