Depeche Mode keyboardist dies
Andy Fletcher, the keyboardist for Depeche Mode and a founding member of the group, has died at age 60. “We are shocked and filled with overwhelming sadness with the untimely passing of our dear friend, family member and bandmate Andy `Fletch' Fletcher,” bandmates Dave Gahan and Martin Gore said in a social media statement posted Thursday. They did not specify a cause of death. Fletcher founded the British electronic band in 1980 with Gahan, Gore and Vince Clarke. He was a member for more than 40 years and played on all 14 studio albums.
